Details

The Instrowest Speed Sensor is based on the principle of a proximity switch which generates pulses on the detection of metal on a rotating drum or wheel.

When factoring in the number of pulses per revolution, with one revolution equal to the circumference of the drum or wheel, the linear speed at the circumference may be implied over a selected time base.
